If you have been arrested and charged with DWI, a Traffic Ticket or any other misdemeanor crime in Albuquerque  or Bernalillo County, your case will be assigned to the Albuquerque Metro Court. Metro Court is the largest courthouse in New Mexico; with 19 judges presiding over the busiest court in New Mexico.

Hours of Operation

The Metro Court is open from 7:00 AM - 5:00PM Monday through Friday. The Metro Court no longer follows the Albuquerque Public Schools schedule for inclement weather, thus, if APS is closed due to bad weather, Metro Court may still be open. Check the local news for official closure information.

2009 Closures

The Metro Court will be closed for the following holidays through the end of 2009:

May 25, 2009 - - Memorial Day

July 3, 2009 - - Independence Day

September 7, 2009 - -  Labor Day

October 12, 2009 - - Columbus Day

November 11, 2009 - - Veteran's Day

November 26-27, 2009 - -  Thanksgiving

December 25, 2009 - - Christmas

Security

Cell phones, cameras and recording devices are not allowed in Metro Court.  If you are found with a  cell phone or other prohibited item upon your entrance to the courthouse you will be required to return it to your vehicle. Save yourself the time and hassle and leave your cell phone in your vehicle.
